-Notes-
I would like to take a second pass at the promo once all other projects are finished. For now I just want to make sure all the projects are finished by deadline.
Elements:
- Quick and to the point with same audio track as the LA NOW open
- Insert News Talent Voice Over - pending
- I used the LA County Logo provided by Scott Weber with slight zoom at the end
Today is my birthday and I wanted to share my Mustang story with you. I recently went on a summer trip with my wife to Arizona. Arriving at Enterprise after a short flight I found my pre-reserved 2008 Chevy Impala was not available. I was going to visit old friends about one hundred miles away from the current location. I couldn’t be seen in the piss-poor economy auto selection left in the Enterprise stock.
After a little stink making about the options the Enterprise manager offers me the new 2010 Mustang upgrade for a mere $20 extra per day than the Impala. What do you know, only 383 miles on the odometer! Thank you Enterprise! I drive the beast off the lot, more excited to drive the car one hundred miles than the ten day vacation ahead.</p>
The Review
I never will be the same man again and I don’t even need a girlfriend anymore after driving the 2010 Mustang for a week. I drove the 4-liter V-6 three hundred miles in a week’s time and got about 25mpg on the highway and craptastic 16mpg on the streets. I did not even wish for the V-8 model after testing the car’s limits by passing four autos (one being a semi-truck) at once on a narrow two lane road. Wow, I was looking at the four-pack of losers in my rear view mirror, before I could come to my senses and realize passing four cars at once is insane.
Yet with all the advance retro Mustang features nothing is perfect. Number one was the interior, which had the old Mustang look we all love but consisted of hard plastic panels pieced together with numerous seams. The scorching 111 degree desert weather in Phoenix tore up this design in just a few days. The inside door handle is coated with a plastic base paint which cracked and peeled almost completely off. It looked like my Mustang had bad sunburn.
I love the 2010 Mustang like a son but the experience has also inspired me to hate Arizona! The whole state seems to have heaps of mobile ever-changing speed traps around every corner and at the bottom of every hill. I felt like Paris Hilton in Hollywood as I saw red, green and the dreaded white flash everywhere I went. Yes the chumps got me, I counted at lease three certain flashes against my Pony but ended up with only one going 66mph in a 55mph zone. Not to bad, but $180.00 later I’m going have to skip Cognac Cigars and the Edison Bar this weekend. Overall my 2010 Mustang experience has inspired me to rent the 2010 Camero and compare the two retro rides, but this time I’m sticking to the Cali roads…
I shot and directed actors on greenscreen. 3D Max was used for the animation and assets. Textures where creded in Photoshop. In After Effects I created the lighting effects with trapcode, final composite, green screen key with keylights. In Premiere I edited the audio track and executed the final edit....
